Film Focus
Woolf
Virginia Woolf observed that within each person exists a transition. Her work, which centers on fluidity and change in both time and identity, was ahead of its time. This programme pays homage to Woolf, celebrating imagination, language, and life itself.
We present five films, each offering a distinct perspective on Woolf and her legacy. From Sally Potter’s lavish yet subversive costume fairy tale Orlando (1992), now digitally restored, to Annette Apon’s Waves (1982), where perceptions and emotions undulate throughout the narrative, presenting a poetic exploration of thought worlds.
