Runo Lagomarsino lives and works in Malmö, Sweden. With a practice that ranges from installation and sculpture to drawing, performance and action, Lagomarsino’s work points toward the gaps and cracks in our models of explanation and our claims of truth, highlighting language’s precarious foundation. With his work he goes in search of fractures and blind paths from which to tell other stories and, in particular, to read the past and name the future.
Through precise and poetic displacements he constructs frictions between language, iconography and prevailing narratives. Runo Lagomarsino has developed a practice that is both close to and distant from conventional sculpture, exploring art’s traditional forms and how they can be expanded.
