The film programme starts at 17:30, personallly introduced by Guy Woueté.

“Les Deux Visages d’une femme Bamiléké” (The Two Faces of a Bamiléké Woman) tells the story of a young woman’s return to Cameroon, her homeland, and her reunion with her mother. This reunion takes place within the context of the new worlds that shape their lives. Two different life paths intersect around old and new traditions that sometimes overlap and define their personalities. In search of repressed feelings, the women share stories about their world with each other, two different stories that merge into one. Mbakam brings to life voices that have slumbered in silence, drawing attention to the women from her community who have shaped her.

Before the film, we are screening two video’s by Guy Woueté from 2010:
