Tom Hallet

Tom Hallet (°1990, Leuven), has been living and working in Brussels for ten years. Hallet graduated with a Master degree in Fine Arts at Luca_School of Arts (2014). After graduation, he was selected for Currents, Marres Maastricht (2015) and Prijs van de Vrienden v/h SMAK (2016). Hallet is the founder of SOIL Collective (2016-2020), a curatorial platform. The collective has curated 10 exhibitions, including Tom Hallet’s first solo exhibition entitled “Sincerely 

Yours” (2019). He participated in his first gallery exhibition at STEMS Gallery (2020), Brussels, and was selected for a residency at Morpho (fka AAIR), Antwerp (2020-2021).  

After participating in Generation Brussels (2020), during Brussels Gallery Weekend, Hallet presented his work in a group exhibition at Morpho and participated in “Regenerate”, a group exhibition at Wiels (2021), Brussels. Two drawings were acquired by the Flemish government for the M-Leuven collection. He completed a residency at M-Leuven (2022), which resulted in a solo presentation. 

Hallet recently presented at Plus.One Gallery & Sofie van de Velde Gallery, on the Wunderwall, and had a solo exhibition in August 2023 at M HKA, INBOX, called “The Boar and the Shepherd”. In November 2023, Tom Hallet had a solo exhibition at Pizza Gallery, called “The Boar and the Shepherd”. In December 2023, Tom Hallet participated in the opening exhibition “Radical Shapeshifter” of Kunsthal Mechelen.  

In February, he showed new work in a group exhibition called “L’amitié; Ce Tremble”, at CRAC Alsace. 27th of March, Hallet will have a lecture organized by NICC, at M HKA, Antwerp. On the 27th of April Hallet will show new work in a group show with the same title, in Le Credac, Ivry-Sur-Seine. In September Hallet will be part of a duo-show at Netwerk Aalst, together with Antonia Brown.”
