In Estonia, the smoke sauna was originally a place where women gave birth to their children, but today it serves as a safe space where stories, experiences, problems and humorous anecdotes are shared, with the aim of fostering sisterhood. No subject is too heavy in the heat of the sauna, and with the support of rituals and a listening ear, the women can alleviate all pain.
